Dream Season Ends for Harriman Lady Devils
Their dream season came to an abrupt halt one win short of the state volleyball tournament for the Harriman High School Lady Devils. Harriman faced the Region 1A winner South Greene Lady Rebels this evening on the road in a sectional matchup with a trip to the state tournament on the line. The Lady Rebels came into the game with a 35-3 overall record, while the Lady Devils were 16-2 for the season.
Perhaps the vast difference in games played during the season gave the Lady Rebels the edge over Harriman. The Lady Devils found it difficult to defend against the constant attacks by South Greene, which won the match and a berth in the state tournament 3-0 (25-13, 25-6, 25-13).
Harriman’s season ends with a 16-3 overall record, including the District 3A Championship and the Region 2A Runner-up.
Congratulations to the Lady Devils for having a great season.
