Morgan County Today Names Cole Hines Player of the Year

Morgan County Today is pleased to announce that Coalfield junior quarterback Cole Hines is selected as our Player of the Year for Class A, Region 2 football for 2021. Hines led the Yellow Jackets to a 10-3 season and an appearance in the TSSAA State Quarterfinals. For the 2021 season, Cole was 96-164 (58.5%) passing for 1,504 yards, 23 touchdowns, and 2 interceptions.  He rushed 73 times for 417 yards and 8 touchdowns.  Defensively, Hines had 45 tackles, 14 solo tackles, 0.5 tackles for loss, 2 interceptions, a fumble recovery, a pass bat down, and returned one interception for a touchdown. Congratulations to Cole Hines for an outstanding season.
