District 3A Volleyball Tournament Results

All three Morgan County volleyball teams saw action Monday evening in the opening round of the District 3A volleyball tournament.

Coalfield advances to semifinals with 3-0 win over Oakdale

The Coalfield Lady Jackets advanced to the semifinal round with a 3-0 win over the Oakdale Lady Eagles. Coalfield plays Clarkrange in the semifinals Tuesday evening at Monterey – game time is 6:30 pm Central Time. The Lady Jackets were defeated by Clarkrange 3-1 in their last meeting on September 16 in a controversial match on Clarkrange’s home court. With the loss, Oakdale’s season comes to an end.

Wartburg falls to Clarkrange 3-1

The Wartburg Lady Bulldogs faced Clarkrange on the road in their first round action. Down 2-0, the Lady Bulldogs fought back and took the third set 25-20. Clarkrange won the fourth set 25-12 and the match 3-1. Wartburg’s season is over and Clarkrange moves on to face Coalfield in the semifinals Tuesday evening at Monterey.

Harriman face Monterey in semifinals

Other tournament winners were Harriman and Monterey. Harriman defeated Greenback and Monterey defeated Oliver Springs. Harriman plays Monterey at Monterey at 5:00 pm Central Time.
