Caitlyn Ross Named to State All-Tournament Team

Midway senior point guard Caitlyn Ross was named to the 2019 Blue Cross State Championships all-tournament team. Caitlyn led the Lady Waves to their first state tournament victory since 1963, defeating Eagleville in the quarterfinals 53-51. In two games in the state tournament, Caitlyn averaged scoring 21 points per game. In the two games, Caitlyn shot 13-23 from the field and 6-12 from 3-point range. She was perfect from the free throw line, hitting 10-10. Caitlyn was also credited with four blocks, five steals, and six assists. Caitlyn has signed a letter of commitment to play college ball for the University of Virginia-Wise. Congratulations to Caitlyn for a well-deserved honor!
