Josh Moore Named MCS 2018 Player of the Year

After the conclusion of the regular season of play, MorganCountySports.com has named Josh Moore its 2018 Player of the Year for Morgan County high school football. Moore, senior quarterback of the Wartburg Central High School Bulldogs, has led the team to its best record since 2012 and to a playoff berth for the first time since 2011. Moore’s exceptional 2018 performance is highlighted by the following statistics:

Passing:  81 completions in 139 attempts for 1,235 yards and 16 touchdowns with only eight interceptions (average of 15.2 yards per completion)
Rushing:  79 carries for 561 yards and 11 touchdowns (average of 7.1 yards per carry)
